Hidden Benefits of Referring Friends & Family to Goods & Services You Already Use

This week I went to the dentist to get a much-needed root canal. It doesn’t sound fun, right?

Most people dread going to the dentist but I actually like going. My dentist’s office is very friendly and always asks me about how my family is doing.

I recently referred my husband to my dentist. I’d been going for almost a year and instead of him risking finding another one I told him to go to mine. He gladly obliged and started going last month for some routine cleaning and took care of a few cavities as well

While I was waiting to do my root canal, I’m sitting in the waiting room and suddenly my dentist came out from the back of the office and gave me a card.

“We missed you last Saturday! Your husband came in and I wanted to give you this card personally”.

I took the card from her and opened the card, taking the time to read her handwritten note. Much to surprise, inside was a $15 gift card to Target. Whoa! I definitely wasn’t expecting this.

I didn’t even consider that referring my husband to my dentist could result in me receiving a gift card. I essentially earned $15 for free that took me only 1 minute of referring my husband to call my dentist and make an appointment. A minimal effort ended up in a reward for me.to make.

This made me start thinking, “What else can I refer my family and friends to use?” I knew the importance of networking and sharing information with friends and family out of the goodness of my heart but I honestly never considered benefitting from information that I would already be sharing.

If I referred more people to my dentist, doctor, and other services that I use I would be helping someone improve their quality of life while receiving a small reward for the information that I shared.

Everyone has the ability to refer people they know to use goods and services that they already use and believe in. The person you refer will also benefit by earning discounts on goods and services that they would already be paying full price for.

I only refer people to goods and services that I personally use and stand behind. To see a list of my personal recommendations you can click here.
